It is pertinent to mention here that a red alert relating to the COVID-19 has been sounded in the Northeast Indian region ever since the first corona positive case was reported in the State of Manipur. The 23-year-old COVID-19 patient from Manipur (name withheld) who became the first POSITIVE case in the Northeast Indian region, is on the road towards recovery, our sources have confirmed. Now, she is feeling well enough and take pictures with the medical personnel treating her.

In Assam, it was reported that a COVID-19 case was discovered in Jorhat on the 21st of this month. However, the patient, a 4-year-old tea tribe child, was later tested to be negative during a second test. The State's administration has since been seen working round the clock to prepare facilities to threat COVID-19 cases in the State.
