Imphal: Microsoft has offered the season’s best placement package at the premier National Institute of Technology (NIT) here: a whopping sum of Rs. 43.5 lakh per annum.
The highest international offers at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Manipur were made by Microsoft and Intuit (42.5 lakhs and 33 lakhs) per annum respectively.
Microsoft offered its highest package to Rachit Kumar Tiwari and Sushmita Dhal.
On the other, Avichal Srivastava got an offer of Rs 33 lakhs per annum from Intuit.
The average pay package offered to the NIT Manipur students is Rs. 8.21 lakhs per annum.

Despite the global pandemic and the resulting economic downturn, 58 final-year students received job offers during campus placement.
Renowned companies like Microsoft, Intuit, 314e, Infoedge, Click Labs, Publicis Sapient, TCS, Accenture, LTI Advance, Delivery, C-DAC, Delloite, MAQ Software, Capgemini, LNT, TATA Power, Naggaro, LTI, NTT DATA, Virtusa, Cavision, Infosys(SES), KEC, Infosys, Perfect VIP, Pure Software, S2Tech, and Pie Infocomm took part in the placements.
When the countrywide lockdown was first announced on 25th March last year, NIT Manipur had to adopt a new way to carry out its various academic activities on an online platform.
In a short period of time, NIT Manipur purchased Webex, laptops, etc to facilitate faculty members to conduct online classes, said reports.
