Olympic medallist Mirabai Chanu's biopic to be produced soon; hunt for lead actress begins

IMPHAL: A Manipuri film based on Olympic silver medallist Saikhom Mirabai Chanu will soo be produced under the banner of Seuti Films Production.

A contract was signed between Mirabai Chanu and the Manipur based production house on Saturday at her residence in Nongpok Kakching village in Imphal East.

Manaobi M M, Chairperson of Seuti Films Production, has announced it through a comminique, adding that the film shall be dubbed in English as well as other Indian languages.

Manaobi asserted that the lead actress in this 'realistic film' on Mirabai Chanu's life will be a debutant.

Manaobi will also do the screenplay and dialogues for the movie, which is to be directed by OC Meira, as per reports.
