Mizoram CM Zoramthanga Flags Off GoAir Flight from Capital Aizawl

Aizawl, October 16, 2019:

Mizoram chief minister Zoramthanga on Tuesday flagged off the inaugural flight of budget airlines GoAir from the Mizoram capital Aizawl.

The first Airbus 320 of GoAir took off from Lengpui Airport in Aizawl, en route to Guwahati. Announcing this via Twitter, Zoramthanga wrote, "Glad to flag off the first Airbus 320 from Go-Air. Thank you @goairlinesindia for providing better connectivity with the rest of the Nation and it is with warm hearts the people of Mizoram welcomes you."

GoAir flight G8 248 will depart from Guwahati at 6:50 am and arrive in Aizawl at 7:50 am. The return flight G8 249 will depart from Aizawl at 8:40 am and arrive in Guwahati at 9:50 pm.

The flight service is expected to be of great help to students, officials, delegates, as well as businessmen.

GoAir is an Indian low-cost airline based in Mumbai, India. It is owned by the Indian business conglomerate Wadia Group. In October 2017 it was the fifth largest airline in India with an 8.4% passenger market share.
