Mizoram: Memorandum of protest handed over to CM over Oil Palm farming
A memorandum of protest was handed over to Mizoram Chief Minister of Mizoram Zoramthanga by environmental associations in Mizoram regarding the planning planning of extension of Oil Palm farming in Mizoram along with North East States.

AIZAWL: A memorandum of protest was handed over to Mizoram Chief Minister of Mizoram Zoramthanga by environmental associations in Mizoram regarding the planning planning of extension of Oil Palm farming in Mizoram along with North East States.
The organizations include Biodiversity & Nature Conservation Network (BIOCONE), Association for environmental preservation (ASEP), and Conservation Mizoram.
The NGOs have asked the Chief minister to stop all the plan regarding the oil palm farming owing to its harmful impacts of the environment and biodiversity and labelling oil palm as a high-risk crop and a major contributor to deforestation worldwide.
