AIZAWL: In a significant development, Mizoram University located in Aizawl has signed an MoU with the Faculty of Information Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia, to collaborate on a number of subjects and thereby boost learning capability.
Yesterday, the Department of Library and Information Science, Mizoram University, Aizawl, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Faculty of Information Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia "to foster a close friendship to pursue areas of collaboration."

The two Universities will collaborate in the following academic activities: Joint seminars (doctoral consortia, knowledge sharing), Staff mobility (team teaching, visiting scholar, supervision), Student mobility (international credit mobility, electives, audits), Joint research (international grants, institutional grants), and Joint publications (high-ranking journals).
"From the Mizoram University, Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.R.S. Sambasiva Rao and Prof S.N. Singh, Head Department of Library and Information Science signed the memorandum in presence of Prof. J.K Patnayak, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof R.K Ngurtinkhuma, Dean, SEMIS, Prof Pravakar Rath, Dr. Manoj Kumar Verma, Dr. Zonuntluanga, Joint Registrar, Mr. P.C Lalhriatpuia, Assistant Registrar (Academic). And From Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia, Vice-Chancellor, Emeritus Professor Datuk Dr. IR. Mohd. Azraai Kassim and Prof. Ts. Dr Sohaimi Zakaris, Dean Faculty of Information Management signed on MoU in presence of faculty members and many academicians from Universiti Teknologi MARA University," the Universities informed via a joint statement.
