MUMBAI: N K Naga, the Dimapur musician who recently became a viral phenomenon with his pitch-perfect rendition of Kishore Kumar's 'Shing Ne Tobu Naam Tar Singha', has moved to city of dreams Mumbai to pursue his dreams of becoming a known name in the music business.

The musician, who was recently chosen to do playback for a Bollywood movie, is now recording his debut album at the Alka Yagnik studio in Mumbai, he told Inside Northeast over the phone.

"I reached Mumbai on February 10 and I am super excited as I have a slew of projects lined up for the near future. I’m recording my own album as of now and later, after completing the album, I’ll proceed for movie recording," the crooner said.

Naga, stating that he feels like he has been "reborn" after reaching Mumbai, says that "now the time has come to colour the world with music."

Asked how he managed the funds to move to Mumbai, a relatively costlier place to live in, Naga says that people from his home state pitched in with donations. "I honestly received a lot of help from people from my home state. Some even pitched in to help buy me the ticket to come to Mumbai. I am currently putting up at the house of the movie director who has chosen me to do playback at Malad West."
