KOHIMA: Taking the Indian government's Swacch Bharat message to heart, the Naga tiny tots from the Kezo town in Kohima district recently joined hands with the Assam Rifles in cleaning their town.
This came to light after the Assam Rifles tweeted some picture of the cleanliness drive.
Sharing the pictures from its official handle, the military unit wrote, "Promoting importance of clean and green environment,
in Nagaland on 19 Mar organized cleanliness drive in Kezo Town of Kohima District. School Children of Cimorb Public School joined hands with Assam Rifles personnel for a noble cause."
In the pictures released by the Rifles, the tiny tots can be seen gathering waste materials in small cardboard boxes.
Kezo, which has a population of 1122 of which 569 are males while 553 are females as per Population Census 2011, is being cleaned by the Rifles as a part of its initiative to reach out to the remoter regions of the country.
