The Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya today had an interaction with Naga elders, Naga Student leaders and Officers and Staff of Nagaland House, at Shillong.
He encouraged the students to continue working hard and to achieve their goals in empowering themselves with knowledge. Speaking on the importance of skill development, Governor Acharya said that it is important to have a course in skill and said that the UGC has made it mandatory to introduce skill development in the curriculum. He termed the students to be ‘Game Changers’ and socially accountable. He stated “students, when they come out, must be an asset to the society and be employable”. Work culture should be embraced and be positive towards entrepreneurship, he added.
The Governor also called on the gathered to continue promoting the rich Naga culture and traditions and to keep their mother tongue alive as it is ones identity and encouraged them to inform the various targeted group on the Central and State Government schemes for their benefit and all round development.
