No illegal drugs found from Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, NCB officer tells court

MUMBAI: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) told the court on Monday that no drugs were recovered from Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan who was arrested on Sunday in connection with the Mumbai cruise drug case.

While seeking Aryan Khan's continued custody, the investigating officer (IO) admitted that no illegal drugs were recovered from him, according to India Today reports.

Satish Maneshinde, who represented Aryan Khan in court, claimed that the 23-year-old was a "special invitee" to the party on board Cordelia Cruises' Empress ship.

A Mumbai court has now granted the NCB custody of Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, Munmum Dhamecha, and five others until October 7.

Advocate Satish Maneshinde seeking bail on behalf of Aryan Khan argued in court that, "Khan was a special invitee as a Bollywood star. The organisers of the party have also been apprehended. They are all linked to one another."

While arguing for the NCB, Advocate General (AG) Anil Singh said, "What evidence exists to show that the person was invited? You've gone on a cruise, and your friends have been discovered in possession."

On the other hand, Satish Maneshinde told the court that no drugs were found on Aryan Khan's person while boarding the Empress ship or during the NCB raid.

According to Satish Maneshinde, Khan did not purchase any boarding passes for the cruise and did not communicate with any of the organisers or ship owners.

The advocate also claimed that the NCB took possession of Khan's cell phone and brought him to the NCB office in Mumbai while some of Aryan Khan's friends were allowed to leave after no drugs were discovered on their person.

He further claimed that any commercial amount of drugs seized by the NCB from any of the other seven accused could not be used to convict Aryan Khan.

While seeking further custody, the investigating officer (IO), admitted in court that no illegal drugs were recovered from Aryan Khan's person.

Aryan Khan was arrested by NCB in a rave party case on sunday.

He was arrested at 2 p.m. after being interrogated by the NCB about the cruise rave party that the agency busted on Saturday night.

Aryan Khan was booked under Sections 8C, 20B, 27, and 35 of the NDPS Act.

According to reports, the high-profile party was held onboard the Cordelia Cruises Empress ship on Saturday night.
