DIMAPUR: The essential movement of all vehicles inside Nagaland's Dimapur district will continue on the Odd-Even system from July 18 to July 31.
The system will be in continuance with a state government decree issued on July 16, said Rothihu Tetseo, Dimapur Commissioner of Police.
Only those vehicles with registration numbers ending with odd numbers 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 will be allowed to drive on odd number days, which are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Meanwhile, vehicles with registration numbers ending with even numbers 2, 4, 6, 8, and 0 will be allowed on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Violation of the order will be punishable under Section 177 and 179 of the Motor Vehicle Act 1988.
However, exempted category of vehicles will not fall under the ruling.
All officers and staff in the exempted category should carry identity cards issued by respective head of departments, the order said.
In another development, Kohima Deputy Commissioner Gregory Thejawelie today said all vehicular movement along Kohima-Dimapur four-lane road will remain closed from 4 am to 12 noon on Sunday due to the overlaying of bridge deck slab at Peducha.
On the other hand, the train services have resumed in Dimapur Railway Station with the Government Railway Protection Force (GRPF) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) staff assisting the COVID-19 screening process of passengers by the district medical department.
