Indian PM Narendra Modi on Thursday congratulated the newlyweds, Tura MP Agatha Sangma and her hubby, , after they tied the knot at a ceremony in Tura earlier in the afternoon.

Congratulating the newlyweds via Twitter, PM Modi wrote, "Congratulations to Agatha and Patrick. Best wishes to the newlyweds. Congratulations also to your family on this happy and special occasion. My friend, the late PA Sangma would have been delighted!"
Assam Finance Minister, who was present at the ceremony, wrote, "My finest greetings and best wishes to the very adorable Agatha Sangma who gets married with Patrick. I and Riniki Sharma are glad to attend this auspicious day. May the two be blessed with a blissful journey together."
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, congratulating the newlyweds, wrote, "Best wishes & congratulations to Agatha & Patrick on this wonderful journey towards new lives together. Wishing a lifetime of love & happiness, may the years ahead be filled with lasting joy."
Arunachal BJP stalwart also congratulated the newlyweds via Twitter. "Hearty congratulations to Agatha and Patrick. It's such beautiful & memorable beginning of a new chapter in life", he wrote, adding, " I've been lucky to be guided by the tallest leader of NE late PA Sangma sir!"
Agatha Sangma, the MP from Tura in Meghalaya, officially got hitched today to Patrick S R Marak during a glittering wedding ceremony in her hometown. The wedding was attended by the who’s who of Northeast India and saw noteworthy personalities such as Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, among several other Manipur’s Deputy Chief Minister Y Joykumar, attend Agatha’s big-day.
