NEW DELHI: Ramananda Sagar's Ramayana is set to stage a comeback in Indian television, amid speculations of another lockdown across the nation amid the surge of COVID-19 cases.
The mega serial is going to be telecast on Star Bharat at 7 pm every day.
During the lockdown last year, the Union ministry of information and broadcasting had decided to air the 1987 super hit soap opera Ramananda Sagar's Ramayana once again, to keep people engaged.
The show received immense support from the audience and broke all the BARC TRP records.

The reports of Ramayana being aired again have triggered speculations among the people about another probable lockdown.
Over the past 24 hours, India recorded 1.84 lakh cases, the highest single day increase ever.
India is the country with the second highest number of total COVID-19 cases and the third highest number of active cases. In India, 1,027 people died in a single day as a result of COVID-19.
The virus has so far claimed the lives of 1,72,115 people.
