GANGTOK: Sikkim BJP senior vice president Ghanshyam Das Agarwal passed away on Tuesday at the age of 73 years. According to reports, Agarwal was undergoing treatment at STNM Hospital for the past few days.
"With his demise, the Sikkim BJP unit has lost a loyal and dutiful karyakarta," said the State BJP in its condolence message.
Expressing deep grief over his demise, BJP Sikkim extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

Late Agarwal is survived by his wife, two sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren.
He was born on May 5, 1948 and he was associated with various organizations, including the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the BJP.
Agrawal was serving the party in various capacities in the BJP Sikkim Pradesh unit since two decades.
During this time, he had served the party as election in-charge, general secretary, treasurer and now vice president.
"It is an irreparable loss for the BJP Sikkim to lose a promising cadre as well as a social worker who has always given a new direction to the party and has been faithful and active in every task of the party," said the Sikkim BJP unit, mourning the leader's demise.
