Gyalshing: Sikkim chief minister Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) today on the occasion of his birthday, visited the Holy Khechuperi Lake, Tashi Chyoling Gumpa and Shri Jaleshwar Mahadev Mandir in West Sikkim, today.

 

 

The chief minister was also accompanied by deputy speaker Sangay Lepcha, Minister Bhim Hang Limboo, among others.

 

 

"I express my heartfelt gratitude towards his parents and the family members for being the pillar of strength and support. They have immensely contributed to shaping the person I am today," he said.

He dedicated the day to the people of Sikkim, and expressed his delight to be among the people of Yuksam-Tashiding.

 

 

On the occasion, blankets and other gifts were distributed to the people.

 

 

TaMang stated that he will provide "every assistance for the development of the area including roads and other infrastructure."

 

 

He urged the people to contribute and help the poor and the needy in their area stating that it will be the "biggest gift for him."

 

 

On his way back to the capital, the chief minister also visited the Sidkeong Bird Park at Rabdentse.
