Sikkim CM Pawan Chamling bestowed with honorary Doctorate

Guwahati, February 15, 2019:

Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Chamling was bestowed with the honorary Doctorate of Literature (Honoris Causa) by Desh Bhagat University at Gobindgarh in Punjab.

He has been awarded the degree for his deep dedication and continuous efforts to uplift the weaker sections, backward classes, and women.

In his keynote address, Pawan Chamling congratulated the students, who had just received their degrees and medals. He also complimented the University for its contribution to the field of education.

For bestowing him the honor, he thanked the University Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Pro Chancellor and all the faculties of the University along with the people of the state of Sikkim for entrusting upon him the responsibility to lead the people of the state for over 25 years.
