The world's last Northern White Rhino, Sudan, who lived in Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Laikipia, Kenya was known for being one and only male northern white rhinoceros left in the world. He is the last male of the species. He died on March 19th suffering from age-related complications. The last male northern white rhino had been born in Sudan, the last of his kind to be born in the wild. Northern white rhinos once roamed parts of Chad, Sudan, Uganda, Congo and Central African Republic, and were particularly vulnerable because of the armed conflicts that have swept the region over decades.
