Thunderstorm menace at Churachandpur district in Manipur

Imphal, April 3, 2019:

Heavy rain and hail storm hit the Churachandpur district in Manipur on Tuesday at around 2:30 am in the morning.

The storm has hit Chowkidar quarter of Khuga Dam in Mata Village. At least two casualties were received as of now; the injured have been rushed to District hospital. Nearly 40 houses were hit by the storm in the village. During this, a 132 KV Churachandpur power station was disrupted.

Water supply from PHeD has also been temporarily suspended with the failure of electricity.
