TOKYO: The Indian men hockey team bagged the first feather to their hat with a with a 3-2 victory over New Zealand at the Tokyo Olympics in the Pool A encounter on Day 1.
The team was able to defend till the end with Rupinder's clean finish from a penalty stroke. This feat was followed by a brace by Harmanpreet from two penalty corners.
The Indian team made a good start as they won a penalty corner two minutes into the match.
