IMPHAL: Manipur Fire Service averted a major tragedy in the state by stopping a devastating forest fire in Kangpokpi district yesterday night.
The devastating forest fire in Sangaithel and Khoken village in the district was stopped from spreading further by the team of the Manipur fire service with their timely intervention.

Taking to Twitter, chief minister N Biren Singh applauded the fire service team and urged everyone to be cautious about the extremely vulnerable environment of the state.
“Glad to learn that a major tragedy was averted due to timely intervention of Manipur Fire Service in stopping a devastating forest fire in Sangaithel & Khoken village in Kangpokpi District. Requesting everyone to be cautious about our extremely vulnerable environment in Manipur,” CM Biren Singh tweeted.
