GUWAHATI: The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation to launch of a special train as part of the ‘Dekho Apna Desh' initiative soon, which will aid in the exploration of North-east India, according to ANI reports.
The train, which will begin its journey on November 26 with a duration of 14 nights and 15 days will travel through five North-eastern states of India taking passengers to unexplored, unimagined, and untouched areas of the states.
The train will travel to Guwahati, Kaziranga, Jognhart, Itanagar, Una Koti, Shillong, Cherapunji, and Kohima, according to IRCTC officials.
The journey will begin at Safdurjung Railway Station in Delhi and will pass through Ghaziabad, Tundla, Kanpur, Lucknow, Varanasi, and Patna.
The tour will cost Rs.85,495 per person in Second AC.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the ticket price for First Class is Rs.1,02,430.
The ticket price includes food, air-conditioned bus transportation, deluxe accommodations, a guide, and other amenities.
Employees of the government and public sector are eligible for LTC on this special deluxe train journey.
The package includes a variety of adventurous and exciting trips, including a Jungle Safari in Kaziranga National Park, a visit to the Kamakhya temple in Guwahati, a trip to the Brahmaputra River, and a visit to Assam's tea gardens, among others.
With the COVID-19 pandemic in mind, the Indian railways will take every precaution to protect the health of their passengers.
To ensure the necessary safety, the IRCTC has made vaccination with both doses of vaccine a mandatory pre-requisite.
Furthermore, IRCTC officials will ensure that social distancing norms are adhered to on the train.
In January 2021, the Indian government launched the 'Dekho Apna Desh' scheme with the goal of reviving the pandemic-ravaged tourism industry.
Many more such trips have resulted from the ‘Dekho Apna Desh' initiative.
Another trip being organised by the Indian Railways is the ‘Shri Ramayana Yatra,' which will begin on November 7 and will be a 17-day journey beginning in Ayodhya.
