A new scheme will be introduced by the state government in Tripura for the students who are aiming to crack national level exams. The scheme, titled ‘Super 30’ will be started from the academic year 2010-21 onwards.
Education minister Ratan Lal Nath has stated that after the implementation of this scheme, the students of Tripura, after completion of the higher secondary examinations, will be eligible to crack national level entrances to study in renowned colleges across the country.

According to Ratan Lal Nath, the students who have passed the Madhyamik examination and have taken admission in class XI under the science stream, will get the benefit of ‘Super 30’ scheme every year.
The selected 30 candidates will have chance to take coaching outside the state as per their choice for two years to take admission in famous colleges in the country like IIT, IIIT, MBBS and other courses.
Under the scheme, every selected candidate would get 2.40 lakh rupees per year. It would cost rupees 72 lakh in the first year, and then 1.44 crore in subsequent years.
Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that the 30 students will be selected according to their merit. It is to be noted that, the present state government also introduced a scheme for the aspirants who want to crack IPS, IAS and other high-level exams, and have started a scholarship programme for them.
