Tripura's Last Princess Passes Away at 105

Agartala, September 13, 2019:

Maharajkumari Kamal Prabha Devi, the last princess of Tripura's royal family and mother of Deputy Chief Minister, Jishnu Dev Varma has passed away in Nagaon of Assam.

Maharajkumari Kamal Prabha Devi was 105.

The princess was the youngest sister of last king Maharaj Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur.

She left behind two sons and three daughters along with other relatives. She was the last Rajkumari of the royal family of Tripura.

Her body is scheduled to be brought to Agartala today and cremated with royal honour.

Maharajkumari Kamal Prabha was suffering from age­old ailment for the past few years and later she wished to stay with her daughter in Nagaon of Assam.

Maharani Kanchan Prava Devi the daughter of the HH Sir Maharaja Yadvendra Singh, the King of Panna State and the wife of the King of Tripura State, Bir Bikram Kishore Debbarman and regent from 1947 to 1949.
