TRIPURA'S NATIONAL LEVEL HANDLOOM EXPO INAUGURATED IN ASSAM

Tripura's National Level Handloom Expo is inaugurated in Guwahati on Monday. The Managing Director of ARTFED, M.C Deka attended the inauguration ceremony as the Guest of Honour. Morever the inauguration ceremony was presided over by Shri Ajit Debnath, (TCS), Joint Resident Commissioner, Tripura Bhawan, Guwahati, Assam.

'Tripura is rich in handloom and handicrafts and this national level expo will open up new opportunities for local artisans as well as the weavers' stated by Bishnu Kamal Borah, Director, Handloom & Textiles, Govt of Assam. A total of around 90 stalls will participate in the expo among which 28 stall are from Tripura, 40 from Assam and one each from J&K, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan.
