WASHINGTON: In the latest innovative push to get more Americans vaccinated against Covid-19, the US state of Washington is offering one pre-rolled marijuana joint to adult consumers who receive a vaccination at an in-store vaccination clinic.

The joints are offered to adults aged 21 and above are eligible, which will run until July 12th.
As more states try to meet their vaccination goals, many have been offering incentives ranging from free donuts to baseball game tickets to encourage people to get vaccinated.
The proposal comes after a decision last month to enable bars and other liquor licensees in Washington state to offer one free alcoholic drink to people who get their shots within a six-week "window."
According to health department data, just over half of Washington adults (54%) had received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccination.
Vaccine "lotteries" have been run in several states, including California and Ohio with cash prizes and college scholarships awarded to vaccine recipients who were chosen at random.
