Veteran Journalist Anjan Upadhyaya has been conferred with the prestigious Kanchanjungha Kalam Puraskar by Press Club of Sikkim.
The award was presented by Sikkim Chief Minister P.S. Golay at Janta Bhawan. The award ceremony was organized on the 17th Foundation Day celebration of PCS on Monday.

Anjan Upadhyaya is the Editor and Publisher of Hamro Prajashakti and Himalayan Mirror.
The prestigious Kanchanjungha Kalam Puraskar constituted by the PCS is presented annually. The award carries a cash award, a citation, and a memento.

Upadhyaya is one of the senior-most active journalists in the state of Sikkim.
He has rendered more than two decades of service to journalism in Sikkim.
The veteran journalist originally hails from Tezpur.
