Parakala Prabhakar, referring to the liberalization of the economy accompanied by the Congress government in 1991, suggested the current government to take a cue from the ‘Rao-Singh economic architecture’. Then PV Narasimha Rao was the prime minister and Manmohan Singh held the Finance Ministry.
