Hyundai Motor Plans to Export 1.9 Lakh Cars in 2020

New Delhi, January 30, 2020:

Automaker Hyundai Motor India Ltd is planning to export 1.9 lakh units in 2020 and boost its overseas markets this year.

Managing Director and CEO, S.S. Kim said that the company’s aim is to increase its exports from about 1.81 lakh units in 2019 to 1.9 lakh units in 2020.

He also said there will be an increase in the exports of the completely knocked down (CKD) units from Hyundai. The company exports to 88 countries currently and this year, it has planned to venture into the East European nations.

Hyundai is also developing a mass market electric vehicle for India and will be launched in three years. It may also be mentioned here that the company rolled out its 30th lakh “Made-in-India” Export Car from its plant in Chennai.

Hyundai Motor has a market share of 26 percent in CY 2019. It is also the leading exporter in the automobile industry according to reports.
