The BCCI on Wednesday announced CRED, a credit card payment platform, as its official partner for three seasons of the Indian Premier League.
The 13th edition is scheduled to be held in UAE from September 19 to November 10.

“We are delighted to have CRED on board as the ‘Official Partner’ of the Indian Premier League 2020 to 2022. IPL is one of the most innovative sporting leagues of the world and we are grateful to have a brand as unique and innovative as CRED partner us. I am sure more people across the nation will take notice of them as we embark on this exciting journey,” IPL chairman Brijesh Patel said.

The partnership will run through till the 2022 season.
CRED is a platform that allows credit card users to manage multiple cards along with an analysis of their credit score.
“The successes in IPL, for the most part, start with the initial six overs of every innings, and this time viewers can join major parts in scoring huge,” CRED said in a statement.
“Those who pay their credit card bills through CRED during CRED Power Play will win guaranteed money back with one individual having a possibility of winning 100% cashback on their credit card bill payment,” CRED added.

Previously after the sudden pullout by the Future Group and up-gradation of Dream11 as IPL 2020 official Title Sponsor, BCCI was left with two vacant slots for the IPL partnership this year. Now after signing with Unacademy and CRED filling up the slots, BCCI can breathe easily.
The Bengaluru-based credit card bill payment startup didn’t reveal the amount paid for the sponsorship. According to reports, it could have paid as much as Unacademy did – ₹120 crores.
