GUWAHATI: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi along with speaker Metbah Lyngdoh today to personally invite PM Modi to the state of Meghalaya for the state's 50th Statehood Day on Jan 21, 2022.

Meghalaya was formed as a separate state from Assam in 1972. This meeting comes just days after clashes at the Shillong-Assam border, during which a Meghalaya police officer was injured.
