At least 42 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Meghalaya on Tuesday, 25th August 2020. This brings the total COVID-19 positive tally in the state to 1,179.
Informing this the Chief Minister Conrad Sangma tweeted, “#COVID19 Update | #Meghalaya
42 individuals have recovered from coronavirus in the State today.
Total Active Cases: 1179
Total BSF and Armed Forces: 442
Total others: 737

Meanwhile, a 84 year old man died of the disease on Sunday taking the total death toll in the state to eight. The deceased was suffering from acute respiratory problem.
The state now has 1179 positive cases out of which 442 are from BSF and Armed Forces. A total of 831 patients have been recovered so far.
