AIZAWL: The Thutak Nunpuitu Team (TNT), the largest charitable institution in Mizoram, was declared a containment zone after as many as 528 inmates tested positive for COVID-19 in mass testing on Sunday.
There are over 1300 inmates as officials have confirmed and a total of 989 inmates had gone through tests and 528 found positive.
Mizoram Medical Operation Team (MOT) chairman and Mizo National Front (MNF) ruling legislator Dr. Thiamsanga declared TNT a containment zone afterward on Sunday and also said that they will be setting up 4C facilities in TNT as well.

TNT, situated in the capital city of Aizawl, has been conducting rehabilitation by maintaining a de-addiction center. It also brings together street children who were separated from their parents due to drug and alcohol abuse, with the help of social activists.

The state currently has 4227 active cases of COVID-19 and the death toll stands at 85 with one succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours.
The positivity rate of the state stands at 8.31 per cent.
