Description: This is Mizo favourite.
Serves: 4-5 people
Ingredients :
- Samtawk - 250 grams
- Brinjal - 250 grams
- Beans - 10-15 nos.
- Potatoes - 3 medium seized
- Cabbage - 1 small
- Tomatoes - 3 small
- Green chillies - 5 nos. (slit vertically)
- Soda a pinch
- Saum to taste (fermented pork fat)
- Bekang - 1 tbsp (fermented Soya bean)
- Lengser - 3 sticks
- Salt to taste
Procedure: (15-20 minutes)
- Boil samtawk, brinjal, green chillies, a few beans, potatoes, cabbage and tomatoes (together) till done.
- Then add a pinch of soda, sa um and bekang for flavour. Then put lengser.
- Add salt, cook this for about 5-8 minutes and the dish is ready.
