School curriculum is set to be reduced to core concepts and integration of vocational education from class 6 under the new National Education Policy.
The National mission will be to focus on basic literacy and basic numeracy major changes in the pedagogical structure of curriculum with no rigid separation between streams; all separations between vocational and academic and curricular and extra-curricular will also be removed
5+3+3+4 structure to replace existing 10+2 boards with new pedagogical curriculum. The foundational age will cover classes 3-8, while the preparatory stage will cover ages 3-5, the middle to cover 6-8. The secondary stage will cover 9-12.

There are over 45,000 affiliated colleges in our country. Under Graded Autonomy, Academic, Administrative & Financial Autonomy will be given to colleges, on the basis of the status of their accreditation: Amit Khare Higher Education Secretary
Home language, mother tongue or regional language to be medium of instruction up to class 5.
