Congress MP and candidate from the Jorhat Lok Sabha seat, Gaurav Gogoi, is leading by a significant margin of 44,837 votes, according to the official Election Commission of India (ECI) trends.
Speaking to media , Gogoi echoed the sentiments of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who had earlier dismissed the exit polls as “Modi polls”. “In the beginning, all I would like to say is that Rahul Gandhi had said that the Exit Polls declared a few days back are Modi polls - this has turned out to be true. The ground reality is turning out to be different from Exit Polls,” Gogoi said.
Meanwhile , Congress candidate, Rakibul Hussain is currently in the lead in the Dhubri constituency. Rakibul Hussain is currently in the lead with 42,228 votes. Badruddin Ajmal from AIUDF is trailing in the second place, having secured 17,570 votes. The final Lok Sabha election result of Dhubri constituency in Assam is yet to come as we wait for more updates on the vote tally.
