What could be more satisfying for a first-time voter in this Lok Sabha election to cast his vote for his mother, who happens to be the BJP candidate for the Guwahati Lok Sabha seat, Bijuli Kalita Medhi.
It is to be mentioned here that Githartha Kalita Medhi's vote marks a significant moment in both their lives, as a first-time voter and also for his mother as a first-time LS candidate.
Speaking to the media, Githartha Kalita Medhi said, "The way PM Modi at the Centre and Himanta Biswa Sarma at the state level is tackling the civic issues, I believe things will be sorted soon and witness development across the state. Today not only as my mother, but as an educated voter I have voted for a deserving candidate."
Githartha Kalita Medhi is a student of Guwahati-based college and pursuing his bachelor's in Political Science.
Reacting to Githartha Kalita Medhi's comments after casting his vote for his mother, Bijuli Kalita said, "I am very happy...as along with the love of public even my son cast his vote for the BJP party. My son voted for the first time and he voted for his mother...so I am very happy."
