Alobo Naga Treats K-Pop Star Dabit to Northeast's Signature 'Bhoot Jolokia'

Kohima, November 17, 2019:

Nagaland's musical sensation Alobo Naga recently invited Korean popstar Dabit to Nagaland and treated him to 'Bhoot Jolokia' aka king chilly, which is the world's hottest chili pepper, 400 times hotter than Tabasco sauce.

As a caption to the post, Alobo wrote, "I invited a Kpop star to Nagaland, India and made him eat Raja Mircha - the famous King chili from North East of India."

After consuming bhoot jolokia, a teary-eyed Dabit says, "I feel like my tongue is gonna fall out." Then, the K-pop idol and his manager consume the bhoot jolokia. To their credit, however, they do manage to hold their own while consuming the king chillies, much to the delight of the people.

The video in which the K-Pop star savours the Northeastern signature food, the king chilly, used in many traditional cuisines, was uploaded on Alobo's official YouTube channel on .

King chilli is known as raja mircha in Nagaland, it is also known as U Murok in Manipur and Bhut Jolokia in Assam, and is used to make pickles, and also in curries. It is known for its distinct flavour.

It may be mentioned here that international Kpop artiste Dabit from South Korea will be headlining the ‘Kaleidoscope 2019’ fest on November 15 at Assembly of God Higher Secondary School (AGHSS), Dimapur.
