A man from Assam is now making waves in Bollywood, the biggest movie industry in the entire nation. The youth, Jun Dihingia alias Ram left for Mumbai way back in 2002 from his native village in Assam's Demow to seek his fortune in the aamchi city, and has now finally struck gold. The fact that he now finds his name in the acting credits of 'Sooryavanshi', a Rohit Shetty directorial, is testimony to his success.
Jun, who eventually found employment as a security guard, started seeing the glittering stars of Bollywood in front of his eyes, and that is when he started hatching plans of making a name for himself in the industry. "In 2002, I became a security guard; then, I jpoined a gym after people egged me on that I should join a gym as I have a good physique and height."
The Assam lad also said that he always gave secondary importance to money, and work was always his primary focus, and his hard work and discipline is now paying dividends.
The actor from Assam revealed that he also contested in the Mr Gujarat competition way back in 2007, and was even selected in the top 1. "However, I was unable to make the cut in the final", he says with a hint of regret.
However, he has now been able to star in several films, including the historical epic, 'Mohenjodaro' starring Hrithik Roshan. Now, he will be seen in the highly anticipated 'Sooryavanshi' starring Akshay Kumar and directed by Rohit Shetty. Meanwhile, Raj has appealed all the people from his native Assam to go and watch the film and thus support him in his endeavours to become a successful brand in the multi-billion dollar industry Bollywood.
It is pertinent to mention here that Sooryavanshi is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Rohit Shetty and written by Yunus Sajawal. Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Apoorva Mehta and Rohit Shetty.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi has been postponed due to Coronavirus outbreak. The makers recently released an official statement saying that the film will hit the theatres when the time is right.
