Assam’s Sanjukta Dutta’s design to feature in ‘Sui Dhaga’

Guwahati (Assam), Aug 24, 2018:

Assam’s celebrated fashion designer Sanjukta Dutta will make her Bollywood debut in ‘Sui Dhaga’.

She was among a few chosen to collaborate with Yash Raj Films to design the logo of Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma-starrer ‘Sui Dhaga’. The logo of the movie is dedicated to the craftsmen of the country.

Dhawan plays the role of a tailor and Anushka an embroiderer. The film is a salute to the country’s self-reliant workforce — artisans, craftsmen, weavers and the grassroots level contributors to India’s indigenous arts and crafts industry.

Dutta has been carving a niche by showcasing the Assamese culture at international platforms.

Speaking to InsideNE, the eminent designer said, “I am very happy to work with such a famous movie company. It was an amazing experience and I got to learn so many things while working with them”.
