"I sang a song by Shaan and another song by Jubeen Nautiyal and had mentioned them on social media. They commended me on social media", Bordoloi informed us. Both Shaan and Nautiyal took note of the young Assam singer's melodious interpretations of their hit songs and sent back very encouraging words on social media.

Shaan, who liked her song so much that he shared the singer's song on Instragram. She also sang a rendition of Nautiyal's blockbuster track 'Tujhe Kitna Chahne Lage Hum' from the recent smash Kabir Singh, and the ace composer himself commended her.

Apart from Shaan and Nautiyal, the young crooner has also earned the praise of Assam's own Zubeen Garg, after videos of her singing a song from his film 'Kanchanjangha' went viral on Facebook. She had sung Zubeen's 'Panchana', a heart-tugging break-up song.

Talking to the media on the lines of women's day, she said that people's perception has to change and society has to change before Women's Day starts to make any difference. The young star also said that rape has become commonplace. "The Government must take steps in this regard. If Women's Day is being celebrated like this, it will be futile. Rape must be weeded out first. That is all I would like to say."
