Bollywood Big B, Amitabh Bachchan is all set for hosting the 11th season of the quiz-based reality show “Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC)” and shooting has begun from today on.
Expressing excitement over the new season, Big B took to his social media account and tweeted, “It has begun. Another ''KBC'', 19 years since it started, 11 seasons and the love of all the viewers.”
It is to be mentioned that “Kaun Banega Crorepati” is based on the British programme "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" Its 10 seasons have been hosted by Amitabh. Only season three was hosted by superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
It originally aired on Star Plus for the first 3 seasons from 2000 to 2007 and was commissioned by the programming team of Sameer Nair. Since 2010, it has been airing on Sony TV and produced by Big Synergy.
KBC premiered on 3 July 2000 and was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, his first appearance on Indian television. KBC initially offered contestants the chance to win 1 Crore Indian rupees. The season ended in 2001. The show was well received in its premiere season.
