Manipur CM Awards Rs.10 Lakh to reality show Contestant

Guwahati, December 15, 2018:

A cash reward of Rs.10 lakh has been awarded to renowned Manipuri singer by the state government, recognizing her effort in reaching the top 11 in the singing reality show, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’. The solemn felicitation ceremony was held at the Chief Minister’s secretariat, where the Chief Minister N. Biren Singh also presented her with a bouquet and a traditional scarf (Lengyen).

The ceremony was organised before a huge crowd poured into the complex for the combined Meeyamgi Numit and Hill Leaders’ Day of this month. Deputy Chief Minister Y. Joykumar Singh and other dignitaries were present at the programme.
