The Nagaland Film Festival’s second edition is set to begin on October 31 at the Capital Convention Centre in Kohima.
The two-day film festival will showcase films from across the Northeast region. Discussions around the cinema will also be held besides film screening.

Organized by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) in collaboration with Film Association of Nagaland (Fan), the festival aims to provide an opportunity for the Nagas to interact with people from outside the state and showcase the resources and talents of the state.
As many as 56 films will be screened at the 2nd Nagaland Film Festival to be held at Kohima from October 31 to November 1.
Prominent films that will be screened include National Award-winning Village Rockstars 2017, an Indian Kamrupi Assamese language coming-of-age film written, edited, co-produced and directed by Rima Das, Ma Ama- a Garo film from Meghalaya by Dominic Sangma.
It was the only Indian film selected for the Mumbai Film Festival’s international competition. Aamis, an Assamese film directed by Bhaskar Hazarika, will be featured as the opening film.

The Film Festival will be attended by Nicholas Khargonger, director of Bollywood film “Axone” and will take master classes about the process of film making.
The 1st Film Festival of Nagaland, organized by Dreamz Unlimited and sponsored by DIPR, was held in the year 2017.
