Nagaland Musicians Unite to Raise Funds for Assam Flood Victims

Kohima, July 27, 2019:

In a great gesture of support to the flood-affected neighboring state Assam, some local rock bands from Nagaland will come together to organize an open-air concert in Dimapur on 27 July to raise funds for the flood affected people in Assam.

This is a charity programme for the people of Assam reeling under the devastating floods which have claimed 81 human lives so far, with the number of casualties rising on a daily basis.

The open charity concert will be held near the city tower at Dimapur town.

The organizers have informed that interested people can make a donation of food items, clothes, and other items which could be of help to the people affected by floods.

"Please join in our mission to help Assam in this hour of distress. Let's together stand to contribute a helping hand to our dear neighbours", an organizer said, and appealed "any artist who wants to participate voluntarily, please WhatsApp us at 7630920494."

The open air concert will begin at 3:00 pm and will be hosted by the band 'Hailstone'. The event has been organized by Dimapur 24/7 in Collaboration with the renowned rockband 'Hailstone'.

Meanwhile, the famous rock-and-roll band from Nagaland, 'Lords of Rock', have also extended their support to the charity event, adding that "humanity is alive".
