Business tycoon Ness Wadia, also the owner of IPL team Kings XI Punjab, has been sentenced to two-year imprisonment in Japan for possession of drugs.
As per reports, Ness Wadia was found in possession of 25 grams of cannabis resin at the New Chitose Airport in the Japanese island of Hokkaido in March and got arrested in Japan. During the arrest, he admitted to possession of cannabis which he said was meant for personal consumption. Ness Wadia is the son of Nusli Wadia of the Wadia Group.
Wadia has spent a period in detention before his sentence on March 20 and an undisclosed period of detention before a court hearing. It is to be mentioned that he has also been accused of molestation by Bollywood actress and co-owner of Kings XI IPL team, Preity Zinta.
