Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. The news left his fans and the B-town celebrities in shock. Film trade journalist Komal Nahta shared this news via his twitter handle. He wrote, “Not the new dreaded ‘C’ (coronavirus), it’s the other dreaded ‘C’, cancer, that Sanjay Dutt has been diagnosed with,”
On Tuesday, the actor announced about his health condition and also informed that he will be taking few days off from his work schedule but he did not mention about his lung cancer. According to reports, the actor was suffering from some breathing difficulties and was diagnosed with the deadly disease when he was hospitalized on the 8th of August. The reports also claim that the 61-year actor will fly to US for immediate treatment.
After the news about Dutt suffering from cancer broke, the actor took to his twitter handle and urged his fans and well-wishers not to worry. He wrote, "Hi friends, I am taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon,"
Dutt was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after he complained of breathlessness and chest discomfort. He was immediately rushed to the hospital and also underwent the COVID19 test, reports of which turned out to be negative. After staying under medical care for two days, he was discharged from the hospital on August 10th.

Fans and celebrities have wished him a speedy recovery after unconfirmed reports suggested that he'd been diagnosed with lung cancer following his announcement for "medical treatment."
Urmila took to Instagram to share a note that read: "Such an upsetting n horrible news that @duttsanjay has been diagnosed of lung cancer..but then again he has been such a fighter all his life.. here is wishing him a speedy recovery #prayersforspeedyrecovery #getwellsoon."
Cricketer Yuvraj Singh posted an encouraging tweet for the actor, “I know the pain it causes but you are a fighter”
Dutt's Dhamaal co-star Riteish Deshmukh also commented on the post. Riteish wrote, "Get well soon Baba. We love you. Our prayers are with you for your speedy recovery."
Sanjay Dutt is currently working for his upcoming movie Sadak 2 alongside Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. The film is a sequel of Mahest Bhatt’s 1991 hit Sadak.
