Assam heartthrob Zubeen Garg was seen with Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju promoting the culture, cuisine and tourism of Northeast India in the seventh edition of North East Festival in New Delhi.
The two icons from Northeast India, who are also the Brand Ambassadors of the three-day Fest, were seen together for the first time onstage promoting the region in the national capital.

Singer Zubeen Garg took to his Facebook to share his delight. “With Hon’ble Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and my friend and Chief Organiser of North East Festival Shyamkanu Mahanta. As a Brand Ambassador Happy to see North East Festival getting bigger and bigger. Please come see the culture, cuisine, crafts tourism in North East Festival at IGNCA, Janpath, New Delhi. On the occasion of the three-day cultural extravaganza, Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju also urged the people to visit Northeast India and witness its beauty. Sharing the photos from the event on his Twitter handle, Rijiju wrote, “If you have not seen North-East India you have not seen complete India! The amazing NORTH EAST FESTIVAL has begun at New Delhi. It's gives a beautiful glimpse of the spectacular region of India!”
The seventh North East Festival has begun in the national capital at the Indira Gandhi National Centre of Arts (IGNCA) in Janpath. The cultural extravaganza showcases the art, cuisines and music of the Northeast region.
