2 Injured, 35 Trapped in Coal Mine Accident in Germany

New Delhi, November 8, 2019:

At least 35 people were trapped underground after a coal mine explosion on Friday in the eastern German town of Teutschenthal, reports said.

Reportedly, the trapped people were in a safety room. The fire department has initiated the rescue operations for the trapped 35 people, a spokesperson said.

According to reports, the explosion was heard earlier in the morning. Two people were injured in the accident and were immediately rushed to the hospital.

Around 100 people work daily at the Teutschenthal facility, according to the company.
