ISLAMABAD: At least 20 people lost their lives after an earthquake of magnitude 5.7 flattened houses and sent terrified residents scrambling into streets. The tremor struck about eight miles from Harnai, Pakistan just after 3am local time on Thursday.
Residents shared photos of damage to their homes, including cracks in walls, after the tremor.

The quake destroyed several houses in Harnai and Shahrag, with several people reported to be buried under collapsed buildings.
Atleast 20 people were killed and dozens of injured survivors were rushed to hospitals for treatment.
Power supplies were knocked out in a number of areas. Government buildings were also damaged.
