8 Students Killed, Two Injured In Brutal Knife Attack in Central China

Guwahati, September 3, 2019:

As many as eight students were killed and two others injured in a brutal knife attack by a man of a primary school in central China.

Reportedly, the man was released recently from jail. The 40-year-old accused is a local resident was arrested immediately after the incident. He was an ex-convict who had spent over eight years in jail for attempting to gouge out his girlfriend's eye. He was released from jail in May.

As per reports, the knife attack took place at around 8:00 am on the first day of the new academic year.

It is to be mentioned that in April, a knife-wielding man attacked primary schoolchildren killing two students. In January, a man attacked 20 students using a hammer. In April last year, nine students were killed and over a dozen others injured outside a middle school in northwestern Shaanxi.
